Akes Family,
I am so happy that I made that phone call in the middle of the night when I heard that my dad might not make it. Ruth was so helpful. She explained the process to me in detail which made things so much easier and quicker when the time finally did come. On October 7, 2022, the viewing, service, and burial went very well. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely use their services in the future if the need arises again.

Patrick and the entire Akes family have been amazing to us. We sadly lost my father in law in 2019 and based on the professionalism and ease of working with the family and the satisfaction with his service, we returned when we lost my mother in law in 2020. This weekend, the Akes family helped us honor the life of my sister in law who passed away this March. Akes Family Funeral Home in Riverside has taken care of my father (2001) , my mother (2003) and my brother (2021.) They are the most caring, wonderful people and they took care of absolutely everything. Sharnell was excellent with taking care of my brother’s cremation and being in touch with the cemetery personnel who buried him. Paul Akes even came to the cemetery himself on the day of the burial to bring out the Veterans Flag that had just barely come from the VA’s office. He even took the time to help us get it folded properly. I couldn’t have asked for better care for my family members.

Making it easy. Akes Family Funeral Home took care of everything.

Ruth genuinely cared. When a loved one passes there is a lot of turmoil. But Ruth at Akes handled everything. Told us of the process and what needed to be done. Because of our religious beliefs certain things needed to happen. She handled it all from picking up the body to the burial. We did not have to worry about a thing. She gave us peace of mind.
