WANDA ILENE FRALEY

Wanda Ilene Fraley of Riverside, CA passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024 from Congestive Heart failure. Wanda was born in Meza, AZ on 11/22/1930 to her parents Albert C. Brooks and Elma M. Brooks.  She moved from Meza, AZ at a young age to Riverside, CA and continued her education until she graduated from Poly High School.  

  Wanda married her husband Doyle Merle Fraley on April 21, 1951 in Las Vegas, NV and remained married for 53 years until his passing in 2004.  She was a mother of 4 children, Debbie Ward, Doyle Fraley, Jr. who both preceded her in death but have 2 surviving sons and daughter-In laws, Lyle Fraley and Cynthia Fraley, Bruce Fraley and Dawn Fraley.  Wanda also has 5 grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She also had two brothers Charles Brooks and George Brooks who both preceded her in death.

  Wanda was a woman of compassion and commitment.  She showed it throughout her life with her commitment to her husband, family and job. She worked for 30+ years for AT&T telephone company.

  Everyone in her family knew they could come to her for advice, reassuring them and always giving them a listening ear.  Every time a new baby was announced she would get her crochet hooks out and start on a new blanket for that baby to last their lifetime.  She not only left all of us a blanket but she left her legacy thru us to pass down for generations with strength, love for each other, how to be organized and save our pennies.  Wanda was strong throughout her life and lived it on her terms until her last breath. 

Services will be at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary on November 11, 2024 at 1:30pm.
