VINCENT CISNEROS Obituary

Vincent Bru Cisneros, age 87, of Los Alamitos, California, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, surrounded by the legacy of a life lived with purpose, love, and honor. A devoted veteran, family man, and friend to all, Vince embodied the values of service, loyalty, and joy in everyday living.

Born on June 30, 1938, in Manila, Philippines, Vincent was one of fourteen children born to Rafael J. Cisneros and Remedios Cisneros. Together, the Cisneros family immigrated to the United States, where Vince went on to build a vibrant and meaningful life grounded in opportunity, hard work, and close family ties.

On December 24, 1966, Vince married the love of his life, Katharine Ann Olenyk, in Vancouver, Canada. Their marriage, which spanned nearly six decades, was a testament to enduring love, partnership, and mutual devotion. Together they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and connection.

Vince proudly served his country as a member of the 101st Airborne Division. His military service shaped his character and instilled in him a lifelong love of country, a strong sense of duty, and deep respect for camaraderie and community. He remained actively involved with fellow veterans through the American Legion, where he found fellowship and purpose.

Settling in Los Alamitos more than 40 years ago, Vince became a beloved presence in his community. Known for his welcoming spirit and engaging stories, he was truly someone everyone liked—someone who made others feel at ease simply by being himself.

A man of many talents and passions, Vince served as a former President of the U.S. Bartenders Guild and was widely recognized as a champion mixologist. His interests spanned golf, real estate, bartending, and classic cars—especially his treasured 1966 Mustang. He was an enthusiastic Seattle Seahawks fan and deeply appreciated music, particularly Spanish classical guitar. Whatever the interest, Vince approached it with enthusiasm, curiosity, and generosity.

Above all, Vince cherished his family and friends. He found his greatest joy in time spent together, shared meals, conversations, laughter, and the simple moments that make life rich and full.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael J. Cisneros and Remedios Cisneros.

Vince is survived by his beloved wife, Katharine Ann Cisneros, of Los Alamitos, California; his sons, Vince E. Cisneros (Kim) , of Rockledge, Florida, and Michael P. Cisneros, of Jacksonville, Florida; granddaughter Megan Cisneros, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who loved him deeply.

A graveside committal service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 1:15 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery.

Vincent Bru Cisneros will be remembered as a proud veteran, a devoted husband and father, a man who loved his country, cherished his family, and lived life fully. His legacy lives on in the stories he shared, the friendships he forged, and the love he gave so freely.
