Susie Mares

Susie passed away on Saturday, February 6th , 2021 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her
husband William Mares, her daughter Diana Barilone of Riverside, CA, and her grandson William Mares
Jr. She is survived by her son William Mares of Riverside, CA, his wife Gloria, his children Jennifer
Hobson (Chad) and Kristina Reel, Diana’s children Stacy Sooter (David), and Jonathon Barilone (Brianna),
her daughter Evelyn Suplee of Riverside, CA, her husband Fred and their children Amanda, Ashley, and
Amber, and great-grandchildren Madison, Chyanne, Aiden, Charis, Zoë, and Levi.
Susie was born on March 18th , 1924 in New Mexico. She was a homemaker and raised three children
with uncompromising care. Never one to rest on a project, she was always willing to complete whatever
task was at hand. Much of her handiwork was on display at the many carnivals and events she helped
with. Her greatest joy was seeing her children and grandchildren happy and always loved when they
visited.
William and Susie celebrated their 70th anniversary on November 26th , 2020.
They both loved the Lord and made Him the center of their lives. Raising their children and being that
example was the most important part of their lives.
She was surrounded by loved ones and in her own home when she passed.

Graveside Service will be on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:45 AM in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
