Sally Dianne Mantz, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, friend, and
educator, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 73 in Riverside, CA on May
2, 2026.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Ralph Mantz; children Tony Mantz, Brian Mantz,
and Katie Mantz-Weller; daughter-in-law Katryn Mantz and son-in-law Chad Weller;
grandchildren Bec Mantz, Joey Mantz, Nash Mantz, Chad Weller, Aslyn Weller, and
Matthew Weller; and more nieces, nephews, family, and friends she considered family
than you can count.
Dianne is also survived by the hundreds of children whose lives she touched during her
32 years as an educator at Orrenmaa Elementary School.
To say we are devastated is an understatement. Dianne was the heart of our family –
caring for those around her with quiet strength and endless compassion. She had a gift
for making everyone feel safe, heard, and loved. She was kind and generous, always
putting others first and ready to lend a helping hand. She was a bright light in the lives
of many, and she will be missed deeply.
The family is planning to have a celebration of life for Dianne on the weekend of August
15 th and will share details once they become available.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Dianne's name to the charity of your
choice. She never passed up the opportunity to help others, and I know she would
appreciate that others were being helped in her name. If you don't have a favorite
charity, Mom has donated in the past to OneLegacy and charities for Alzheimer’s and
Dementia research; as a retired teacher, she would also love donations to your local
library or children's reading program.
