Ruben Guadalupe Chavira, Jr., 37, passed away on August 15, 2020 in Riverside, California. Ruben was born to Ruben Sr. and Angela (Baca) Chavira on June 10, 1983 in Barstow, California.
He worked as a delivery driver for United Parcel Service and he enjoyed motor cross and going fishing. Ruben served his country in the United States Army in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was honorably discharged at the rank of SGT and he earned the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Iraq Campaign Medal with 3 Campaign Stars, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Nato Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
Ruben is survived by his children Michael and Anthony Chavira and Isac Marquez, his mother Angela, brother Donald Louda, sisters Lutisha Gagner, Melanie Young and Alicia Shed.
Graveside service is on October 7, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
