Robert Joseph Raymond Garcia Jr., 20, of Riverside, California passed away on July 26, 2022. RJ was born on Monday August 27, 2001, to Robert Garcia and Helen Aleman. Though he faced a myriad of challenges that set him apart from his peers , RJ made friends everywhere he went. He loved spending time with family and friends and especially enjoyed babysitting his nephew Jaxson. He enjoyed spending time in nature, listening to music, hiking, and going to lakes. Most of all he loved hugs. RJ was compassionate and generous; he would be the first to aid strangers in need. RJ will be deeply missed.

RJ was preceded in death by his Grandparents Raymond and Faye Garcia, Grandmother Viola Aleman, Uncles Michael Garcia and Michael Aleman.

He is survived by his father Robert Garcia, Father’s Fiancé Christine Layton, Mother Helen Lake (Aleman), Brothers and Sisters Cheyanne Cochrane (Aleman), Evan Cochrane, Sanjia Stephan (Garcia), Chris Stephan, Maria Garcia, Amanda Steuben, Jenna McKeehan, Josh McKeehan, and Victoria Hinen. Grandfather Joseph Aleman, Aunts and Uncles Keith and Toyi Garcia, Greg and Oralia Garcia, Sabrina Jernegan, Eric Garcia, Matthew Aleman, Mark Aleman, along with multiple cousins, nieces and nephews. 

The family will be holding a private memorial/celebration of life on his birthday August 27 , 2022. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Compassion International, an organization who supports children in poverty, inspired by RJ's compassion to those in need.
