Ryan Michael Santana, 40, passed away on December 23, 2021 in Riverside, California. He was born on June 17, 1981 to Michael and Diana (Castillo) Santana. He was a beloved son, husband and father. Ryan was born and raised in Riverside. He attended school in Riverside. After high school he moved to Corona for two years before moving back to Riverside until his passing. Ryan attended Riverside Community College and Citrus College. He later went back to school and attended University of Phoenix where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, in 2013.
Ryan attended St. Catherines of Alexandria every Sunday. He attend Our Lady of Perpetual Help from kindergarten to 8th grade. He attended Norte Dame High School.
He would often be seen volunteering to coach his children's favorite sports. He coached soccer, and baseball. He was always in the stands while his children played baseball, basketball, soccer and swim. He was also a proud dance dad. He was a huge Marvel, The Simpsons and Anime fan. He enjoyed watching his favorite movies and television shows. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He mostly wore black and yellow clothing or Pittsburgh merchandise. He was also a big Angels fan.
Ryan's hobbies included attending all of his kids activities. He also loved to bbq, go shooting, and try new restaurants. He had to attend every new Marvel movie. His happy place was at the beach roasting marshmallows, and sitting by a fire pit. He loved flowers and arranging them.
Ryan worked as a bartender for TGI Friday's for 17 years. He worked at Riverside Juvenile Hall for 5 years. After its closure he worked at Riverside YTEC facility, which is a treatment facility for Juvenile inmates.
Ryan is survived by his beloved wife Hayley (Sims) Santana, his children Aiden, Annabelle and Troy; parents Michael (Brooke) Santana, and Diane Castillo. and his brother Josh Castillo.
Visitation is on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 4-8 pm in Grimes-Akes Family's "Grace Chapel", Corona, California.
Funeral Mass is on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in St, Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church at 11:30 am.
Graveside Service is at Olivewood Memorial Park at 1:00 pm
