ROBERT JOSEPH MARTIN

Robert Joseph Martin, 93, passed away on October 21, 2024 in Riverside, California. He was born to Edmund and Catherine (Hartman) Martin on July 31, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois.

Robert worked as an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry for 44 years. He was a member of St Thomas Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed model trains, he had a barn full of them, he had his private pilot license and owned a twin engine cessna. He enjoyed sailing and boating as well.

Robert was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughters Michelle Turner and husband Michael, Malia Deutsche and husband Daryl, and Melanie Morales and husband Jose Gomez; grandchildren Stephanie Turner, Marisa Turner, Kendra Arrieta, Ashley Clark, Caitlyn Deutsche, Matthew Deutsche, Leanna Rios, Lacey Meade and Aaron Morales; great-grandchildren Krista, Hannah, and Jacob Arrieta, Emma and Gwendolyn Clark, Isabel and Olivia Rios, Genevieve and Ezra Meade and Arnold and Alexander Morales; brothers Kenneth Martin (Jane), Ralph Martin (Mary Ellen). He was preceded in death  by his first wife Nancy in 1999 and his wife Thelma in 2023.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 9:30-10 am in St Thomas Catholic Church, Riverside, California.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am at the church with graveside to follow at Olivewood Memorial Park, Riverside, California.
