RICHARD GEORGE GABRIEL

Richard George Gabriel, 90, passed away on April 15, 2024 in Riverside, California. He was born on November 16, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri  to Michael and Catharine (Westelmayer) Gabriel.

Richard served in the United States Army from 1956-1958 and was honorably discharged. He worked in the construction industry for over 50 years and was owner of Gabriel Construction. 

Richard was a lover of the outdoors. You could often find him sitting behind the garage listening to music and watching the birds in the yard when he wasn't out there working in the yard. During his time at Valencia Gardens, he would sit and play the piano every Sunday for the other residents. He considered it a ministry of his. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with the. His favorite foods were anything dark chocolate and cooked or smoked salmon. 

Richard is survived by his daughters Chris Gabriel, Kathy Struthers (John) and son Richard Gabriel, his granddaughter Emily O'Boyle (Tim) and twin great-granddaughters Haylee and Brynlee

Visitation will be on Thursday May 9, 2024 from 10 am -11:30 am in Akes Family's "Chapel of the Chimes" , Riverside, California with Funeral Service starting at 11:30 am

Graveside service will follow in Riverside National Cemetery at 2 pm.
