RAUL ANTHONY OJEDA

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Raul Ojeda, surrounded by his fąmily, on Good Friday, April 18, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Born August 18, 1978 in Corona to Ray and Rosemary Ojeda of Riverside. Raul attended Riverside schools: Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, Harrison Elementay, Chemawa Middle School and Arlington High School, class of 1996. In high school he participated in swim and performed with the show choir. He attended Riverside Community College where he continued to participate in the choir program.

Raul's work history started early. He was the neighborhood paperboy delivering the Press Enterprise and later at 15 became a lifeguard for the Riverside County Memorial Pool. After high school, his love of music led him to become a DJ, hired for many events and also traveling for a few years with various artists. In 2013 he found his true profession as that of barber/hair stylist. He worked a few years for Fantastic Sam's, where he received recognition for his artistic style and skilled craft, before becoming an independent stylist. With the Covid pandemic he had to make some changes and became an app driver for WalMart and Amazon. Raul was truly enjoying this new job challenge even as he faced his own health challenges. We were fortunate to have had many wonderful family vacations over the years and see him and his dogs as cherished and loyal companions.

Raul is survived by his parents Ray and Rosemary Ojeda; sister and brother-in-law Rosie and Erik Espino; sister and brother-jn-law RaeAnna and Jayson Ashton; nephews Aidyn and Landon Espino, nephew and niece Jaydon and Anniston Ashton. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins from California, Texas and Pennsylvania. Our hearts will carry his memory forever.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 4:00pm Akes Family Funeral Home 9695 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92503
