Patricia Ann Jensen

PATRICIA ANN JENSEN, 83, of Corona, California, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. Patricia “Oma” Jensen was born in Riverside, California on March 17, 1938, to Richard Enoch Babcock Jr. and Vida Lois (Morgan) Babcock. She lived in Riverside and Corona, California all her life. Patricia loved children and attended Riverside Community College where she earned her associates degree in early childhood education. Patricia worked at multiple childcare centers and even opened her own daycare business, which she ran out of her home. Later, Patricia worked as the Librarian at Stallings Elementary School for many years. She enjoyed reading stories to the children and instilled a love for books to many. Patricia enjoyed watching Angels baseball, hosting parties, reading, knitting, and going shopping. Her trips to spring training and the ballpark were some of her happiest days and she cherished spending time with her family and life-long friends. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Jensen-Spitt (Joseph), her grandchildren, Heather Jensen, Pamela Mojica-Salazar, and Sarah Reader, her ten great grandchildren, Bailey, Nicholas, Jacob, Matthew, Andrew, Hunter, Karson, Layla, Liam, and Noah, her sister, Darlene Hughes and nieces and nephews. Visitation/Viewing will be held at 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Grimes-Akes Family Funeral Home, 500 West Seventh Street, Corona, California. Graveside service will follow at Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Ave, Riverside, California at 11:30 am.
