MATTHEW JAMES McGINNIS

Matthew James McGinnis, 42, of Riverside, California, passed away on December 21, 2024. Born on November 22, 1982, Matthew was a loving father, son, brother, and fiancé. He was known for his easygoing personality, quick wit, and love of adventure.

Matthew spent many years working at camp, where he developed a deep passion for the outdoors. Hiking, fishing, and exploring nature were among his greatest joys. He was also an avid wrestling fan, and his enthusiasm for the sport was contagious, bringing laughter and enjoyment to those around him. 

Matthew is survived by his children, Charlotte and Lincoln; his fiancée, Marissa; his parents, James and Diana; his siblings, Kathleen, Robert, and Jessica; and numerous friends and family members who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held on January 11, 2025 at Akes Family Funeral Home. His memory will live on through the laughter and love he gave to all.
