MARTHA JANE (HELMER) LOVE

Martha Jane Love, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on September 12,
2022 in Torrance, California. She was born May 25, 1939 in Subiaco, Arkansas to the Ed and
Guilia Maude (Sanders) Hellmer.
Shortly after graduating high school in 1957, Martha followed the example of two of her older
sisters Lillian and Louise, and came to California for better work opportunities. After arriving in
California, she held many positions and ultimately retired from  AT&T Telephone Company after
over 25 years of service. After retirement she found great joy in working for Pacific Symphony
Orchestra in Costa Mesa, California. She was a selfless and loving mother, doting grandmother,
faithful daughter, sister and friend.
She is survived by her daughter Roberta Lynn Miller (Steve) of Torrance, California and her son,
Robert Owen Love Jr. (Shelly) of Salem, Oregon and three grandchildren, Logan R. Love, Jacob
R. Alvis and Austin M. Love
Martha was preceded in death by her father Ed Hellmer, mother Guilia Maude (Sanders)
Hellmer and her siblings, Lillian Murphy, Laura Margaret Hellmer, Molly Ruth White Allio,
Louise Farley, Edward Hellmer and Frank Hellmer.
Inurnment will be at Fairhaven Memorial Park, Santa Ana, California.
