Cronan: Marianne F. “Mimi” of Riverside, California, died Friday,
December 8, 2023. Mimi was born on March 3, 1956, in Travis Air Force
Base, California, a daughter of Col. Lawrence and Norma Jean Smith.
Mimi is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Timothy J. Cronan;
sons Jonathan (Jocelyn Bertovich) Cronan of Hawaii and Benjamin
(Angel) Cronan of California; granddaughters Aster and Ophelia;
grandson, Aiden; siblings, Lawrence Smith Jr. of Nebraska, Patricia
Parker of Nevada, Catherine Perez of California, and many nieces and
nephews. Mimi was preceded in death by her parents and younger sister, Susan Valterria.
Mimi graduated in 1974 from Ramona High School in Riverside, California.
On March 18, 1979, Mimi’s life changed dramatically. While attending
Harvest Ministries in Riverside, California, she realized her need to
believe and call upon the Lord Jesus Christ and be born again. She then
dedicated her life to the service of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mimi attended Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College of San Dimas,
California, and earned her AA in teaching. In preparation for the
ministry, she served four years at her church, Riverside Baptist Temple.
Mimi began her twenty-six-year ministry as the pastor’s wife and First
Lady, with a cross-country move to Ellsworth, Maine, where she served
at Ellsworth Baptist Temple. In Guilford, Maine, she served at Guilford
Center Baptist Church. Her last twenty years of service were to Little
Bible Baptist Church, in Littleton, New Hampshire.
Mimi wore many hats during her short time with us. She was a loving
and caring mother to her two boys and proud to homeschool
them personally. She was an avid reader and loved crafting, needlepoint,
stamping, scrapbooking, and teaching others to make cards.
Mimi was the best wife and mother! She was the definitive pastor's wife.
She always had the joy of the Lord on her, her big smile and luminous
glow. She was a living example to everyone. She always spoke the truth
with kind words. Mimi was loved by all!
To my love, I will always cherish you.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1-2
