MARIA ELENA VENEGAS

Maria Elena Barragan de Venegas, born on October 5, 1955 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. She was the cherished daughter of Clementina Torres Ortiz and Jose Maria Barragan, and the eldest of seven siblings. Maria was a devoted mother to her six children, a beloved grandmother to sixteen grandchildren, and a proud great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren.

Her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication made her an exceptional mother and a wonderful grandmother, always putting her family first. Known for her warmth and kindness, Maria touched the lives of everyone she met, earning the love and admiration of all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit and generous heart will live on in the countless memories shared with her family and friends. Maria’s legacy of love, strength, and compassion will forever inspire those fortunate enough to have been part of her remarkable life.

Maria Elena Barragan de Venegas will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her memory will be cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and the many lives she touched with her boundless love.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 10am -12pm in Grimes-Akes Family's "Grace Chapel" Corona, California with funeral service to follow at noon. Graveside service will be after the service at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery at 1:30pm.
