Kay Francis Lichtenthaler (Wagnon) went Home with the Lord on June 25th, 2020 in her home in Riverside, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oma (Cooper) Wagnon and Herschel Lee Wagnon, her ex-husband and father to her three children, James Paul Lichtenthaler, her grandson Nathaniel Lichtenthaler, as well as a baby brother in her youth. She is survived by her three children, Kelly Lichtenthaler-Codding, Michael Lichtenthaler, Lee Lichtenthaler; seven grandchildren, Janelle Gauthier (Richard), Jessica Codding, Roderick Lichtenthaler, Brielle Lichtenthaler, Tawna Lichtenthaler, Dustin Lichtenthaler (Aubrey), and Jared Lichtenthaler; and five great-grandchildren, Chloe G, Amelia, Paisley, Dylan, and Chloe L. Kay also had an adopted family with her best friend Nancy Couch and her children Michael Couch and Kristi Hyde. She also leaves behind several beloved cats she called her babies, Ozzy, Lula, Teddy, and Roxy.
Kay was a strong woman blessed by the Lord who raised her three children practically on her own. She worked as a secretary for OCMP for 18 years and retired to Riverside. She was born in Arkansas and moved to Garden Grove as a child. A bit of a rebel in her youth, Kay graduated from Santa Ana High school in 1959. She loved fast cars and bouffant hair. She always had red nail polish and red lipstick, even later in life if she was just going to the doctor or grocery store. Kay will be remembered for her beautiful violet-blue eyes, snarky wit, cream cheese brownies, love of the Lord, and devotion to her family.
