Katherine Marion

Katherine Marion of Moreno Valley California was called home to Glory at 12:06 a.m. on Tuesday morning March 3, 2020 at Highland Palms Healthcare Center in Highland, California after a valiant nine-year battle with stroke residual deficits and kidney disease.

    Katherine Marion was born from the union of Lee Coleman and Bethel Parker on January 27, 1938 in Phoenix, Arizona. Her father passed away when she was young and her mother Bethel Parker married her second husband Charles Makey. The family spent time in Oklahoma and Texas before settling in California.

     Katherine attended El Camino College where she earned a certified nurse's license. She also worked with the Los Angeles County Probation Department. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid card player and bingo player.

Mother Marion is survived by her children David Delt-Makey (Joice), Gary Marion (Cherrie) & Kathy Robertson; grandchildren Dawn Makey, April Makey, Charles Makey Jr., Stephanie Delt-Makey, Cameron Delt-Makey (Rocio), Jasmine Delt-Makey,
Naomi Reita,  Carl Marion ll (Aisha), Nicole Gibson (Anthony), Elaina Good (Sean), Jonathan Robertson, Michael Robertson (Chantel), Lawrence Robertson, Charles Hendrix (Pages), Daniel Hendrix; Great grandchildren Devon Brice, Braylon Brice, Amri Delt-Makey, Kiyanni Delt-Makey, Brandy Marion, Amahjay Gibson, Nalaia Gibson, Kylee Marion,  Melody Marion, Mikaylah Good, CJ Hendrix Jr, Elijah Hendrix, Makaylah Hendrix, Miyah Hendrix, Godbra, Romario. Jaden, Sierra, Blessed, Promise,  Harper & Grayson Makey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, Charles Makey
& Carl B. Marion and a host of friends and relatives. Mom is loved and will be deeply missed.
