John Edward Todd, age 71, passed away on October 24, 2020 in Moreno Valley, California. He was born on August 9, 1949 in Provo, Utah to Bernard and Shirley Todd. He lived most of his early years in Orem, Utah. While serving in the Army he received the following Commendations, Purple Heart, The ribbon for Expert Marksmanship, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Metal and the Vietnam Presidential Unit Citation.
He moved to California around 1980. John worked as a CNC Machinist and was a resident in Riverside county. He was preceded in death by his father Bernard, mother Shirley and sister Kathleen (Todd) Madsen. John is survived by his children Elisa Marie Todd, Abraham and wife Christine Adame, and Stanley Adame, 5 grandchildren, his brothers Richard and Russell Todd, his sister Patricia (Todd) Banner He was a caring and loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
He loved his siblings and his children, and their children. He treated everyone with love and respect. He also leaves behind his longtime friend Vivian Chasco. He was always there when needed whether it be helping you with money or rolling up his sleeves. He loved restoring old cars, especially his 1960 T-Bird and using his speed boat on the local lakes. He was the life of the party.
He had a gentle spirit and compassion for animals. Family and friends will gather for visitation and committal service with military honors at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 1:00 pm.
