John Lopez, age 71, passed away on September 24, 2020 in Orange, California. He was born on May 12, 1949 in Orange, California to John and Lupe (Flores) Lopez.By coincidence, he died in the same hospital where he was born. He lived most of his early years in Buena Park, California. He moved to Phelan, California around 1995. He is survived by four children, Sophie, Bobbie Jo, Freddy and Dion, 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. His mom Lupe Lopez, siblings Mary Lomeli, Rita Romo, Frank Lopez, Eddie Lopez, Corina Lopez and Vickie Lopez. He was a caring and loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

Jake's love for his mother was a godly example, he honored her by making sure she was always taken care of, that was his first priority. But it didn't end there.

He loved his siblings and his children, and their children. He treated everyone with love and respect. He was always there when  needed whether it be helping you with money or rolling up his sleeves and helping you move your furniture into your new home, giving you advice or by just listening to what you had to say and giving you a shoulder to cry on. He was always trying to help any way he could. Jake enjoyed family  and made everyone feel loved. One of his favorite songs was named "It's A Wonderful World" by Louie Armstrong. He always placed everyone first before himself and tried to make our world a wonderful place to live.

He considered his closest friends as family and would invite them to the Lopez Family gatherings. Making sure they knew they were part of our family. He had a gentle spirit and compassion for animals, such as dogs, cats and birds. He was always rescuing stray animals and caring for them by giving them shelter and food at his home. He was working as a care giver and volunteer at a local food pantry. He enjoyed music, traveling and cooking.

in ending, Jake's last blessing was written "How is everyone doing? Praise God to all who hold me up in prayer. Our Lord's will be done.. With prayers, faith, blessings and all my love. Love Jake"
