JULIUS ASCHENBERG Obituary

Julius Jay Aschenberg, known lovingly as Jay, passed away peacefully on March 28,
2025, at the age of 74, in Riverside, California. Surrounded by the family he cherished,
Jay’s final moments were filled with love, comfort, and peace after a courageous battle
with lung cancer.

Born in Meriden, Connecticut on November 5, 1950, Jay was the son of Siegfried
Alfred Aschenberg and Patricia Anne O’Keefe Aschenberg, and his birth mother, Doris
Gruber. He was a loyal brother to Carol Pusch, Eva Fenn, Linda Thompson, and Trish
Hildebrandt, and held deep connections with his large extended family.

Jay proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, earning the
National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Rifle Expert qualification.
After four honorable years of service, he continued a life of dedication—to his family, his
patients, and his community.

Jay earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Southern California University
and his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. For over
three decades, he brought healing and hope to countless individuals through his
practice at Fountain Valley Chiropractic. His passion for helping others extended
beyond his career—he had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, supported,
and uplifted. He also found success in entrepreneurship, co-owning several beauty
supply businesses, including Luv-U Beauty Salon & Supply, The Beauty Supply Store,
and Executive Beauty Center. Later, he found joy behind the wheel as a limousine
driver, meeting people from all walks of life.

But Jay’s greatest legacy was not his professional achievements—it was his family.

He was an extraordinary and deeply devoted father to Kathryn Wright, Alanna
Aschenberg, and Christian Aschenberg. Jay poured his heart into raising his children,
showing up for every game, recital, and milestone with pride and unwavering support.
He taught them strength, compassion, and the importance of showing up for the people
you love. His kids knew, without a doubt, they were loved unconditionally and
profoundly.

Jay shared a beautiful and loving marriage with his wife, Kristen Aschenberg. Their
relationship was one built on mutual respect, deep friendship, and an unshakable
partnership. Kristen stood by Jay’s side through every challenge, and built a life filled
with laughter, love, and countless shared memories. Her care, strength, and devotion
were a constant source of comfort to Jay, especially during his most difficult days. Their
bond was truly something special—an example of love that endures, even beyond this
life.

Jay also embraced his role as a stepfather with his whole heart, guiding and supporting
Kevin and Amanda Wiggins, and Jamie Wiggins with the same warmth and steadiness
he gave his own children. He was proud of his grandson, Derek Wiggins, and took joy in
watching the next generation grow.

Jay’s life was rich with passions and people. Whether riding his Harley Davidson,
cooking for a backyard gathering, playing poker with lifelong friends, or towing his kids
on tubes at the river, Jay’s happiest moments were those spent making memories with
loved ones. He treasured his time with the Indian Princesses & Indian Guides, creating
lifelong bonds on campouts with his children. His heart for service also extended to the
Kiwanis Club and even fostering kittens.

Jay is survived by his beloved wife Kristen Aschenberg; children Kathryn, Alanna, and
Christian Aschenberg; stepchildren Kevin, Amanda and Jamie Wiggins; grandson Derek
Wiggins; siblings Eva Fenn, Linda and Mark Thompson, and Trish and Greg
Hildebrandt; and many dear nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is reunited in
peace with his sister Carol, his mother Patricia, his father Siegfried, and his birth mother
Doris.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 2:45 PM at Riverside National
Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518.

Jay will be remembered for his contagious smile, generous spirit, unwavering strength,
and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His children and wife were the heart
of his world, and through them, his spirit lives on. He was truly one of a kind, and his
legacy will be carried forward in the lives he touched and the family he so deeply
adored.
