JOSEPH W. PESQUERA

Joseph W. Pesquera, 77, passed away on October 11, 2022 in Murrieta, California. He was born on January 12, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to Emma Apodaca.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He then worked as a police officer for 25 years. Joe started his police career with UCLA Police Department as a K-9 Officer, then the Inglewood Police Department 1982-2003. Joe and his K-9 partner Urgan competed at several Olympic competitions. He was a big football fan and loved the San Francisco 49ers. He was a proud republican and enjoyed conversations with friends. He was a laid back guy but opinionated with politics and sports.

Joseph is survived by his wife Patricia, his son Dustin Pesquera of Moreno Valley, California; daughter Nikki Pesquera of Carlsbad, California; step-son Ryan Erwin of Carlsbad, California, his brother John Ortiz and 4 grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be on Monday, November 7, 2022 at 11 am in Grimes-Akes Family’s “Grace Chapel”, Corona, California.
