JOSE HERMENEGILDO SALES ABADILLA

Jose “Joe/Pungay” Hermenegildo Sales Abadilla’s sudden passing on
December 9, 2022 has left his wife, children, family, friends, and
community in mourning at the loss of a loving husband, beloved father,
and loyal friend. He was 66. Joe was born in Lucena City, Philippines
to Juan Ranillo Abadilla and Consuelo Tortal Cruz Sales. He is the
second child of four. Joe graduated college with a degree in mining
engineering. He was a successful businessman, realtor, and licensed
vocational nurse. Joe had a big heart and lived his life to the
fullest. He is a man of faith and a devout Catholic. He was a loyal
friend to all and he forged lifelong friendships with his childhood
peers. He immigrated to the United States with his wife, Evelyn, in
1996. They worked hard as caregivers and reunited with their children
in the US in 1998 to give them a better future. He was a very proud
American and grateful for his 2nd chance at life. He was 42 when he
underwent bypass surgery. Joe thrived after his surgery and considered
it his 2nd birthday and lease on life. He lived each day joyfully and
touched others with his charm and humor. He is survived by the love of
his life, Evelyn, and their 3 loving children and their families: his
eldest son Joey, his spouse Joanne, their children Jaime, Jason, and
Jayden; his daughter Tessa, her husband Wardley; and his youngest son
Jeric, his wife Aiza and their soon to be born daughter Althea; and
his brother Flavio Octavio Abadilla and sister Maria Lourdes Dupalag.
He is now with his father, Lord and Savior up in heaven. Wake and
funeral services will be on December 30, 2022 at Grimes-Akes Family
Funeral Home in Corona, CA with the viewing at 9:30am-11:30am,
followed by Chapel blessing, and escorted casket to burial site at
Olivewood Cemetery..
