With deep sadness, the family of beloved physician, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, announce the peaceful passing of Jeffrey Richard Simons, M.D. of Nipomo, CA (formerly of Riverside, CA) on February 8, 2022, at the age of 81 years. Prior to retiring, as a dedicated pulmonary physician he compassionately cared for patients within the Riverside community for 37 years; honorably served his country as Major in the US Army; and was an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at University of Utah, University of California, Riverside and University of California, Los Angeles, and a frequent lecturer at Crafton Hills Community College.
Dr. Simons’ memory will ever remain a blessing in the hearts of his loving wife, Lois of 4 years, his most treasured son and daughter Larry (Nancy) and Stephanie (Carson Smith); adored grandchildren Megan, Trevor, Sawyer, Emma & Grayson; dear Sister Judy Cohen (Michael); mother-in-Law Rose Dudar; brothers-in-law Elwyn Dudar, Randall Dudar (Gwen), Robert Dudar (Zeny) and Jay Krokow; cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Susan, of 52 years, and parents, Abraham and Edna Simons.
A celebration of Dr. Simons’ life will be streamed on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. in Riverside, CA.
