JANET BURCH

Janet Burch, July 25,1941, went home to the Lord on April 13, 2025, at 83 years old.
Born in New Castle, PA, she graduated from New Castle High School in 1959. She then
attended Saint Francis School of Nursing, graduating as a registered nurse in 1962.
Within a few months, she joined her parents and brother in Riverside, California, leaving
behind her large family of beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Her career began at Riverside Community Hospital in a variety of departments, finally
settling in the medical-surgery department. From there she worked for Lily Tulip Cup as
an occupational health nurse. When the company moved out of state, she worked for
Dr. Turnbull in Obstetrics for 7 years. She then returned to occupational health nursing
in the city of San Bernardino where she worked for 15 years. Her final position was at
California Steel for 5 years, retiring in 2007, after 37 years as a registered nurse.
She met and married the love of her life, Allen in 1990. They enjoyed traveling in their
RV and various trips to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Tahiti. They also loved their
evenings watching movies together. Allen left this world on September 5, 2023.
Janet is survived by her daughter Kim, grandson Taylor, granddaughter Lauren
Duarte, stepson Darren Burch and wife Coleen. She also leaves behind her loving
family of nieces, nephews, and sister-in-law Martha Medure.

Memorial Service will be on Friday, May 9, 2025 in Akes Family's "Chapel Of The Chimes" at 3:00 pm
