James Franklin Lloyd, age 53, passed away on January 14, 2024 after suffering a heart attack.
James, was more often referred to as “Jimmy” and even his childhood nickname “Ding.” He was born on July 3, 1970 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Long Beach, to Parents John and Ella Lloyd. He grew up alongside his three brothers, John, Joseph and Jason.
For those who know Jimmy, they know he spent 26 years in prison, being released in December of 2018. He spent his time in prison growing and writing letters to his loved ones. Over the last 5 years he shared stories about the lessons he learned during this time, and the faith he found in God. Jimmy was saved in prison and is resting in heaven now.
Upon his long awaited return to his family and friends, Jimmy spent the five years he was out of prison making up each day for lost time. He met and married his wife Teresa, whom he loved so deeply. He reunited with his brothers and met his nieces and nephews, leaving a lasting impression on all of them. He reconnected with old friends, and made new ones. He laughed, he sang, he danced, and he loved. He was the life of the party, and always wanted to celebrate the love he had around him.
When not working, Jimmy was incredibly spontaneous, especially with his wife, often waking her up and having her pack a bag for a surprise trip. He loved camping with his family, traveling, celebrating, and riding his Harley, a bike he dreamed of owning for years. Jimmy will forever serve as a reminder that life is short, and we must all make the most of it. We should all celebrate and love and spend time with our family and friends.
Jimmy is survived by his Wife Teresa, Daughter Amber, Brothers Joseph and Jason, Cousin Richard and his Wife and Son Stephanie and Kode, Nephew Nick and his Wife Arlene, Nephew Jacob, Nieces Lexi, Adison, Olivia and Payton, and Great Nephew Jett. He is now reunited in heaven with his parents, his oldest Brother John, and his beloved Niece Ashley. He will remain in our hearts forever.
