JAMES EDWARD HARRIS, 81, was born to Burt and Marie (Horanko) Harris on July 29, 1942 in Adams Township, Ohio. He went home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2024.
Jimmy, as he was better known as, has lived in Corona for over 30 years. He was a truck driver for many years, however, since his retirement you would find him sitting under "the tree" having his Bud Light and conversing with neighbors. Jimmy would also wait for his mail carriers. He always wanted to make sure they found their surprise in his mailbox. He would leave Gatorade, Water, or some sort of snack. Jimmy was a kind, generous man. You could say he was a staple in the neighborhood. He was always helping out his neighbors, friends and even strangers.
Mr. Harris you will be sorely missed. They don't make neighbors or friends like you any more. We know you are saving us a spot under "the tree" in heaven.
He is survived by his siblings Kenneth, Shirley and Sue as well as many friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death recently by 2 sisters Bev and Joann.
Graveside service will be on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery at 11:30 am.
