Howard Bryant Caldwell, age 80, passed away November 30, 2024 at Westmont Village Memory Care in Riverside.
He was born on January 28, 1944 in London KY to Stratton Caldwell and Linda Bryant Caldwell.
Besides his parents, he is also predeceased by several siblings: Venice Miller, Ernest Caldwell, Albert Caldwell, Alvin Caldwell and Margi Maggard.
His surviving siblings are: Ken Caldwell (Erma) of Cadiz, KY and Sharon Murray (Roy) of London KY., along with several nieces and nephews. Two special nieces, Linda Ross and Gina Wicker, who so willingly helped with his care.
Howard had a brilliant mind and excelled in his educational endeavors.
Howard also served his country by enlisting in the US Air Force. After finishing his time in the Air Force, he continued his education and upon graduation, taught school for several years. He also taught adults to speak English - enabling them to secure jobs and enrich their lives here in the United States.
Howard was a published author and loved traveling all over the world to experience other ways of life. Even as he experienced memory loss, he could give details about his travels.
This world was made better by Howard's many gifts and talents. He will be sadly missed by his remaining family and friends who knew him.
A brief viewing and service will be held on January 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Akes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the military cemetery in Riverside at 1:30 pm.
