In Loving Memory of Gloria “Chita” Zapien

April 14, 1947 – October 22, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and Tía, Gloria “Chita” Zapien, who went home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2025, peacefully in her sleep.

Born and raised in Casa Blanca, Gloria was a proud native who carried her roots deeply in her heart. A devoted wife and homemaker, she lovingly raised four children and two of her grandchildren alongside her husband. Gloria was a beautiful soul — full of love, grace, and kindness.

She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and sharing the word of Jesus Christ. Always ready with encouragement, prayer, and compassion, Gloria’s faith shone brightly in all she did. Her smile could light up any room, and her presence brought warmth and peace to those around her. Wherever she went, she made an impact — both physically and spiritually — always the first to lend a helping hand and serve others in the name of the Lord.

Our family is deeply heartbroken by her passing, but we find comfort in knowing she is now resting in the loving arms of our Savior. As we gather to celebrate her life and honor her legacy, we hold tightly to the memories and love she left behind — treasures that will remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be at Gospel Ministries Baptist Church on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 9-10am and funeral service will start at 10am.
