Francisco “Frank” Partida Álvarez, passed away on August 10, 2021, at the age of 85 years old at his home in Corona, California. Otherwise known as “Uncle Frank/Tio Kiko”, Francisco Álvarez was born on June 10, 1936 in El Rancho de Las Aguacates, a municipality of Tamazula de Gordiano, Jalisco, Mexico; to his parents, Jesús Álvarez Muñoz and Margarita Partida Serrano.
Frank was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, he immigrated to the US at the young age of 12 in pursuit of a better life for his family, he worked in many different states within the United States until he ultimately resided in the town of Corona, California. He grew to love this town as it gave him what he needed to be able to provide for his family. He was a loving family man who enjoyed entertaining guests, having food at his home for everyone to enjoy, music, and gathering around his family. He was devoted to his faith, and instilled his beliefs and upbringings into his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening and maintaining his plants as well as enjoying fresh afternoons on his rocking chair out on his porch.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Maria Méndez Álvarez, their four children, Faustino Méndez Álvarez, Martha Leticia Méndez Álvarez, Silvia Méndez Álvarez, and Gloria Méndez Álvarez Guzmán, he is also survived by six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his younger brother Jesús Partida Álvarez, his older sister Antonia Álvarez Chavez and his younger sister Ninfa Contreras..
Visitation will be Thursday, August 26th, 2021 from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at Grimes-Akes Family Funeral Home in Corona.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 27th, 2021 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, a visitation will take place at 9:00 A.M., A Rosary at 9:30 A.M., followed by a Holy Ceremony at 10:00 A.M.
Graveside service is to immediately follow at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery in Corona, CA.
