Evita Toquero Anderson
October 25, 1953 to August 28, 2021
Evita lived a life devoting herself to God and was an active spiritual leader in her church community. She was an avid gardener who lovingly tended to her green oasis in her backyard. A particular favorite was her collection of climbing cacti. When these flowers bloomed, they looked like white sunbursts. Evita would wait with bated breath for these beauties to bloom around midnight. The blooms would only last 24 hours before they wilted and so she cherished the little time she had to enjoy these flowers. They truly brought her joy. In addition to gardening, she and her husband, Paul, loved nature and they frequently visited mountains, lakes, and beaches. Evita and Paul had been planning on many road trips together before she passed. They would often be found together at Panera on coffee and pastry dates throughout the day. Evita had the heart of an entrepreneur. She was a dreamer, a go-getter. She was always brainstorming new business ventures. She had a lot more life and love to give on this earth, and absolutely loved and adored all her grandchildren.
Evita was predeceased by her mother, Concordia Toquero, and her father, Basilio Toquero. She is survived by her siblings Napoleon, Joel, Frank, and Ruth. She is also survived by her husband, Paul Anderson, her daughter, Pia Garneau, her two sons Christian Anderson and Simon Anderson and her nine grandchildren, Jake, Jet, Solomon, Elijah, Lylah, Ronnie, Kiowa, Priscilla, and Ramona.
