EMMA R. LOPEZ

Emma R. Lopez, 96 years old, died Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her home. She was surrounded by her four daughters, Molly Lopez, Susan Slabinski (Bob), Ida Lopez (Danny) and Virginia "Ginnie" Austin (Fred), 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benito H. Lopez and her daughter, Sylvia L. Gutierrez (Ernie).

Emma was born in La Puente, CA. and moved to Corona at the age of 10. She attended local schools and as a young girl worked in the fields picking strawberries and potatoes. She also worked at the Citrus Packing House as a grader. She was a housekeeper for some well-known families in Corona (the Jameson's, Hatten's, England's, Jensen's, and many others).

Emma's greatest love was her family. She also loved to attend her grandchildren's events, loved to sing/dance, go to Disneyland, shop, enjoyed colorful flowers,  and watching the "Dodgers games, "I Love Lucy" and "The Brady Bunch." She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Visitation will be on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 4-8 pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 6pm.

Funeral Mass will be on April 18 at St Edward's Catholic Church at 10 am.

Graveside service to follow in Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery at 11:30 am.
