EMMA RUTH CANNON

Emma Ruth Cannon, 99, passed away on April 22, 2024 in Highland, California. She was born to Peter and Addie (Taylor) Gholson in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the Lord and served in the church for many years Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Coachella, Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Highland and most recently First Missionary Baptist Church in Redlands. She worked in the Recreation Department as a manager  and in the packing houses. Ruth, as she was known by most people, is survived by her children John H. Cannon, Jr., Karen K Murphy, Robert S. Cannon, Anna L. Johnson, Gary Cannon, and Michael A. Cannon. She has 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John and her son Russell.

Graveside service will be on Tuesday, March 14, 2024 at Rialto Park Cemetery at 1 O'Clock in the afternoon.
