ELSIE ANN MYERS

Elsie Ann Myers was born on August 7, 1933 to Frank and Anna Regard, the third of three daughters. She was born in South Bend, Indiana and attended Central High School where she met the love of her life, Paul in a homeroom class in 1950.

She and Paul were married on August 11, 1956 on the campus of the University of Notre Dame and they moved into a house on Bulla St. in South Bend where they shortly began a family.

Eventually, the family moved to Southern California settling in Santa Ana. Once the children were older, Elsie Ann went back to the workforce starting out as a Health Clerk at Santa Ana High School. Over the course of twenty years she worked herself up the ranks and when she retired, she was the Office Manager for the high school.

She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and traveling. She also enjoyed the benefits of being a grandmother and nothing thrilled Nana more than being with her 8 grandchildren at family gatherings.

Elsie Ann passed peacefully from this world on the afternoon of September 6, 2024, surrounded by three generations of her family. She was 91.  She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anna, her sisters Marjorie and Florence, and her infant daughter Frances. 

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Paul, her son Paul Jr. (Marsha), her daughter Theresa Morris (Tim), and her daughter Sherrie Madsen (Robert). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A mass of celebration will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Riverside, CA at Noon. Internment at the cemetery will be a private ceremony for family at a later date.
