ELOISA ALLY (HERNANDEZ) BLATCHFORD

Eloisa Ally Blatchford passed away at home in the early morning of Thursday, March 16, 2023,
in Riverside California. She ended her 6-year battle with cancer surrounded by her beloved
family. Ally was born on October 29, 1971, in Los Angeles California to her parents Carmen
(Kazama) and Ernesto Hernandez – both born in Mexico.
Ally is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Tony Blatchford and their four children –
Keith Michael Fernandez, Courtney Michelle Blatchford and her husband Randy Bender, Robert
Henry Espinoza and his fiancé Dasia Velasquez, and Paige Janice Oinas. Ally is also survived by
her brother Joseph Alfredo Hernandez and his partner Jacqueline Castilla of Pico Rivera and
daughters Francette Cleopatra Castilla-Chiu and Summer Ashley Kazama, and her brother Pablo
Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her sister Carmen Hernandez.
Ally grew up and lived in Pico Rivera for the first 25 years of her life before relocating to the
inland valley and Riverside. She maintained lifelong relationships with many friends from her
early life in Pico.
Ally graduated from El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera in 1989, and attended California
Baptist University from 2012-2014. She worked in the healthcare industry for 30 years,
including Genzyme Genetics and Kaiser Permanente and most recently with Apria Healthcare in
Customer Quality.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. George’s Episcopal Church located at 950 Spruce St.,
Riverside, California on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 3:00PM. A reception will follow the service.
Ally loved her home and her family, both of which were the highest priority in her life and
exhibit her love with pride. Those who know and love Ally understand she did not relinquish the
fight with cancer quickly or easily. She continued to demonstrate her strength and resilience to
the end. Ally’s feisty humor and spirit enriched many lives.
