Elizabeth J. Martin was born on April 15, 1924 in Carterville Mo. to Charles C. and Adeline F. White. She celebrated her 100th birthday this past year.
She passed peacefully surrounded by family on June 3, 2024 at Citrus Place Senior Living in Riverside, Ca.
Betty or Gramma B as she was affectionally known by many. She had a passion for dancing especially Swing and Square dancing with her husband Bob. She enjoyed card games and spent many hours playing Backgammon with her best friend Penny Harper. When she was asked what her secret to longevity was she answered “Don’t stop moving and don’t quit”. She was quick of wit and spoke her mind until the very end.
She is survived by three sons and their families. Richard and Vicky Martin of Riverside, Ca., Mark and Mary Martin of Battle Creek, Mi., and R. Curtis and Laura Martin of Ridgecrest, Ca. and
She was also blessed to have 9 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, & 6 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob after 70 years of marriage and her Granddaughter Gina Martin.
Services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on October 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband Bob.
