In Loving Memory of Edward Arguelles, known to family and friends as Ed and Eddie, was born in Corona, CA December 9, 1968, and unexpectedly passed away February 28, 2025. He was the youngest of nine children born to parents Engracia (Maria) Garcia Arguelles and Jose Baltazar Arguelles. His parents, brother Jose G. Arguelles and nephew Robert Arguelles Jr.,, preceded him in death.
Surviving him are sisters Rosie Lynch (Rick), Susie Cruz (Steve), Lupe Saenz, Shirley Camacho (Steve) and brothers Raymond (Valerie), Robert and Richard, Sister-In-Law, Ramona. Also, nieces and nephews Joseph Arguelles, Carlos Arguelles, Anthony Arguelles, David Lynch, Maria Lynch, Martina Lynch, Eileen Gamboa, Raymond Arguelles Jr, Roman Arguelles, Gabriel Arguelles, Priscilla De Santos, Angela Guerero, Jessica Aparicio, Daniel Cruz, Martin Saenz, Amelia Camacho, Breana Camacho, Melinda Solis and 31 grand nieces and nephews.
Eddie leaves behind a legacy of love, military service, and unwavering devotion to his family.
As a graduate of Corona High School (Corona, CA) in 1987, Eddie embarked on a remarkable journey of dedication to serve; first as wildfire firefighter in California for 2 years, then as a US Marine, and lastly, as an Infantryman in the US Army.
As a proud Marine (1991 to 1995) he was a veteran of the Gulf War. Following his service in the Marines, he continued to serve in the US Army Reserves. He bravely served two deployments to Iraq with the 1/160 Infantry (2004 and 2005). He served his country with honor and courage, embodying the values of duty, sacrifice and integrity.
Since 2008 and until his death he worked as a bartender at the Levy Restaurant in the Crypto Arena and as an Uber driver.
Though he never married or had children of his own, Eddie was a steadfast and loving uncle, a role he cherished deeply. He took immense pride in being a presence in the lives of his nieces and nephews. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds and his family was his greatest joy.
Eddie was more than a brother-he was a pillar of support for his siblings, always ensuring their well-being and happiness. His selflessness and quiet acts of care defined his character, leaving an indelible mark on those he loved.
His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories of his loyalty and boundless love.
A service to honor Eddie will be held Wednesday, March 26th, at the Grimes-Ames Family Funeral Home, 500 W. 7th St, Corona, CA. Visitation is from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and funeral from noon until 1:00 PM. A military graveside service starts promptly at 2:30 PM at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA. A gathering for family and friends will begin at 4:00 PM at the American Legion Hall located at 1557 Yorba St, Corona, CA.
Rest in peace, dear Eddie. Your love, sacrifice and devotion will never be forgotten.
