DOUGLAS ROGERS Obituary

Douglas Paul Rogers (Buck), 67 of Riverside, CA peacefully passed away on January 26, 2026
surrounded by his family. He was born on April 14, 1958 in California to Buford Rogers and Mary Anne
Frey.
Doug went into the United States Air Force after graduating from Buena Park High School, where he
served one year and three months until he was honorably discharged to be able to spend cherished time
with his father before his father’s passing. He was ranked a First-Class Airman as a Telecommunication
Service Control Specialist. He received a Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon with a Bronze Service
Star. After the service he went on to train in Martial Arts and spent over 40 years working in
Telecommunications.
Doug married the love of his life, Kim on October 3, 1981. To this marriage they were blessed with two
beautiful daughters, Sheena (Ryan) and Alicia (Chris). Doug became involved in his daughters school
activities by coaching their basketball teams and continued coaching for many years after due to the
love of the game and his passion to help young athletes find their potential. He was a special Grandpa to
his grandchildren, Seth (Sheena), Madison (Alicia), and looking forward to meeting his unborn grandson
(Alicia).
Doug’s legacy lives on in his wife, Kim, his children, Sheena (Ryan) and Alicia (Chris) and their
grandchildren who meant the world to him. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Anne Frey (Ron) and
his Sister, Connie Rogers Priebe (Todd).
He was preceded in death by his father, Buford and brother, Daniel.
Above all else family was deeply important to Doug. He valued time spent with loved ones and believed
strongly in showing up for the people who mattered most to him. His steady presence, loyalty, and care
for his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Akes Family's "Chapel of the Chimes" from 11am-12pm. Funeral service will follow at 12pm.

Inurnment with Military Honors will be on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Riverside National Cemetery at 9:30 a.m.
