Diana Lee Golbaf, age 71, of Riverside, California, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family and closest friends. Born on December 8, 1952, to Lester and Mildred Denny, Diana was a beacon of light, love, and compassion whose unwavering faith in Jesus was the foundation of her remarkable life.
Growing up in Colton, California, Diana’s vibrant spirit shone brightly from an early age. At Colton High School, she was a true star—playing the tuba in the band, dazzling as part of the song team, and captivating audiences in theater productions. She carried this same passion and creativity into every aspect of her life, leaving an indelible mark on her family, friends, and community.
Diana was a true Renaissance woman, blessed with endless gifts, talents, and achievements. For over 50 years, she was a dedicated beautician, sharing her artistic flair and expertise with clients and colleagues alike. Her journey in the beauty industry took her across the globe as she taught hair color for Redken. Diana’s entrepreneurial spirit also led her to co-own Marcello’s Pizza, a local restaurant, and later thrive as a successful real estate agent, helping families find their forever homes.
Yet, Diana’s greatest accomplishments were rooted in her selflessness and her heart for serving others. She was an instrumental member of her community, offering her time and talents to serve meals at her church, support local homeless shelters and offer haircuts past her retirement. Her acts of kindness, big and small, left a legacy of love and compassion that will never be forgotten.
Diana’s passions were as vibrant as her personality. Whether crafting, performing in plays, singing, or attending church events, she brought her unique joy and creativity to everything she did. She was a lover of animals, an encourager to all, and a friend to anyone in need. Her smile, laugh, and voice could light up a room, and her warmth and generosity will remain etched in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
Words that often describe Diana include lively, funny, caring, talented, sincere, selfless, thoughtful, beautiful, resilient, and kind. She was truly one of a kind, and her legacy of love and service will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
Above all, Diana’s unwavering belief in Jesus was the guiding light of her life. Her faith never wavered, and even in her final moments, she embraced the peace of knowing she was ready to meet her Savior. Although we weren't ready to let her go, she was. Take comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord.
She is survived by her children, Shayna Golbaf and Kamron Golbaf; her sibling, Bill Denny; and her former husband, Saber Golbaf. She was predeceased by her parents, Lester and Mildred Denny, sister, Linda Denny, and daughter Dimiyah (I don't know how she spelled it, do you?) Gregory.
Diana’s smile, laugh, and kind spirit will live on in our memories and hearts forever. As she always believed, “God’s love is the greatest gift we can share.” She lived to serve others, and in doing so, she left the world brighter than she found it.
Memorial Service will be on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Riverside, California at 11:00 am.
