DAVID RICHARD PEREA, SR

David Richard Perea, Sr., 83, passed away on March 5, 2023 in Orange, California. He was born to Alfred and Maria (Olivan) Perea. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother.

David served 25 years in the United States Air Force and retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. During his time in the military he earned the Air Force Commendation Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, the Good Conduct Medal Army, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. He was a fan of the Anaheim Angels Baseball team, and enjoyed watching his shows on TV. He loved his doggies.

David is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Blank) Perea, his son David Perea, Jr., daughters Nadine Perea, and June Golden-Bradbury, step-children Rene Barnard and Bryan Burus, eleven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, beloved brother of Stella Castenada.

Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be at 1:45 in the afternoon on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
