Consuelo Fonseca Avalos

Consuelo Fonseca Avalos, 83, passed away on May 5, 2020 in Menifee, California. She was born to Celso Fonseca and Demacia Reyes on March 16, 1937 in El Paso, Texas. She worked as a Supervisor at Aluminum Precision in Santa Ana, CA for 10 years.

She was a loving caring Wife, Mother, Sister, Friend, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She was known to many as “Connie”, “Chelo” and “Granny”.

She enjoyed playing word search puzzles and enjoyed snacking on peaches with cottage cheese and her favorite “Twinkies”! She loved her collection of elephants which were all gifted to her for good luck. She was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, most especially over the holidays. She welcomed everyone to her home and had a place at the table for all. She was a dedicated sports fan of the Rams and Angels. Most of all she loved her family and treasured her grandchildren and was immensely proud of them all. She instilled in her children strong values, encouragement and wisdom that have served them well and gave them something to pass down to their children.

Mom was the strongest women we ever met. She wasn’t afraid of anyone or anything. She was a fierce Mother Hen when it came to her “4 Aces and 4 Queens”.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Ernesto “Curry” Avalos and her daughter Sylvia Avalos and her seven brothers. Consuelo is survived by her four

sons: Ernest Jr., Enrique, Hector and David; three daughters: Ida, Lorraine and Lucy; plus 20 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her one sister Mercy

Gonzalez and two brothers Nelo Fonseca and Lupito Fonseca and her many nephews ,nieces and cousins. All of these she loved and touched very much. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Private family services will be held.
