Clifton Raymond McGee, Jr., 71, loving son of Amelia and Clifton Raymond McGee, Sr, born in Bossier City, Louisiana at Barksdale air Force Base on October 1, 1952 went home to be with God on May 7, 2024 in Ontario, California. He was a loving husband, father, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He attended school at West Shreveport Elementary and JS Clark High School in Shreveport. He was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout. His mother was the Den Mother in Cub Scouts. He served in the United States Army from 1972-1973 and was honorably discharged earning the National Defense Service Medal. He found God at an early age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. There he attended Sunday School, and Baptist training union where they sneaked across the street to purchase cookies. Clifton later became a Mason, and DJ. He was a masterminded mechanic, loved old cars, motorcycles and clothes. He was a model dresser. He is survived by his wife of 18 years Carolyn McGee, his children Clifton Raymond McGee III, Amelia McGee Childs, and Tanganekia McGee Green, nieces Rhonda Watson, Monica Goins, Yolander Lewis, his brother Edward McGee and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by nieces Donna Simien and Evelyn McGee, and his parents Amelia and Clifton McGee, Sr.
Family will be having a visitation on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 10:30 – 11:00 am at Trinity Baptist Church, Norco, California.
Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am and then there will be a parting view from 1:00 pm to 1:40 pm. Graveside service with Military Honors will be in Riverside National Cemetery at 2:15 pm.
