Betty Bostain Obituary

Betty B Flower was born to Erland Hugh and Dora Lucila Flower, on November 22, 1927, in San Bernardino California.
Her middle name was just the letter B!
She was one of eight children.
All of them have gone on ahead, except for her younger sister, Nancy who lives in Bakersfield.

Betty married Jessie Carlisle in 1943, they had four sons, and a daughter--who passed when she was an infant.
Her sons, Donnie, Dale, Roger, and Randy, gave her 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
In later years she married Roy Fry, and after his passing she married James Bostain.

We lost Donnie in 2011, and I’m sure he and mom are having quite the reunion right now.

Betty worked in two different industries in her lifetime either with small children--showing them the way to grow up, or, working with our seniors at the end of their lives--and showing them the way to go home. Betty loved the Lord and was strong in her faith. She knew the Lord would get her through any situation that came her way. She was a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Redlands.

She really was something.
Her 93 years were spent in rampant silliness.
Up to the end she had a little frog that lived in her walker--and it ribbitted every time she'd give it a squeeze.
She loved to watch people's reaction to her frog, and her harmonica, and all the other ways she brightened our lives.
We were grateful to have had her in our lives--we really don't know what we're to do without her.
It hasn't hit us yet--that she is finished here.
She's gone on ahead, meeting up with all of our other parents, her two children who proceeded her, and a number of sisters and brothers, and a daughter-in-law.
We know without a doubt that she is joy-filled, hugging them hard, finally home.
We love you, Mom--and we will miss you until that day when you see us comin over that hill.
