ALAN PARKER Obituary

Alan James Parker, “Dumpa”, age 87, passed away early on the morning of September 21, 2023, at his home in Riverside California surrounded by his loved ones.

Alan was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and lived in Miami, Florida for most of his young life. Alan served four years in the United States Air Force and was stationed at March Air Force Base. After serving in the Air Force, he moved to Riverside, California. Alan is survived by his wife of 59 years Carol, his daughter Kim, his son in law Darel, and his four granddaughters Devan, Sydney, Morgan, and Miley. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Frank Conley, and his brother, David.

Alan worked for Harris Company for 15 years and at the Riverside County Office of Education for 20 years. He retired in 1998 allowing him to spend quality time with his granddaughters.

Alan loved to travel and was an avid CBU basketball fan. He loved watching his granddaughters dance and spending time in his garden.

Alan will be remembered for his jokes and entertaining stories, his generous heart, and his never-ending love for his family.

A service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on October 18th at 11:30am.
