EVELYN BELL WILSON

Evelyn Bell Wilson, 80, of Perris California, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2024 after her third bout with Cancer.

Evelyn was born on November 3, 1943 in Huntsville, Alabama. She was one of five children. Evelyn lived in Alabama until her Senior year of high school in which her family moved to Westland, Michigan. Here she met the love of her life William Dennis Wilson.

They were married on March 3, 1969. They had their first two children in Michigan, Elizabeth Ann and William Graham. Dennis and Evelyn moved their family to California in 1972 and their third child James Patrick was born the next year.

It was in Baldwin Park, that she raised her family. She embodied the best qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit and an unending generosity that could be seen in the care of her older sister and being the taxi for all the kids in the neighborhood.

 Evelyn was a stay home mother until the youngest went to school. She then started driving a school bus and loved her job. Evelyn was an Avid bowler. She bowled until she was in her mid-70’s.

Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Selma, her husband Dennis, her younger brother Edward and her younger sister Ellen. She is survived by her brother Walter Jr of Jackson, Michigan, her sister Katherine, her children, Liz, Bill and JP and her grandchildren, Kaila, Neiko, Russell, Yvonne, Natalie, Jasen, Heidi and Adam.

Visitation service will be Friday, February 16, 2024 in Grimes-Akes Family's "Grace Chapel" from 4-8 pm with service to begin at 6:30 pm.

Graveside service will be on Saturday, February 17, 2024 in Riverside National Cemetery at 11:00 in the morning.
